Yukah Mysore: Arrival & Packing Guide

This guide covers practical packing essentials for your upcoming wellness program in Mysore. Please review the details below to ensure you are prepared and comfortable during the workshop.

Weather
Mysore generally enjoys a moderate climate. Temperatures range from 15°C to 28°C (59°F to 82°F) in the cooler months (November to February), and 22°C to 35°C (72°F to 95°F) in the warmer or monsoon months (March to October). Expect cooling showers if traveling during the monsoon (June to October). Weather conditions are indicative and subject to change; participants are advised to check real-time forecasts, as patterns may vary due to evolving climate conditions.

1. The Practice
Movement Wear: Bring breathable, comfortable clothing suitable for light asana practice.
Practice Mat: Participants are requested to bring their own mat for practice, preferably for hygiene reasons.
Light Layer: Bring a light shawl, stole, or long-sleeve cotton shirt to stay cozy during meditation & post practice.

2. Clothing & Footwear
Everyday Wear: Pack light, quick-drying cotton or linen clothes.
Rain Gear: Bring a umbrella or /and a light rain jacket.
Easy Footwear: You will frequently remove shoes/sandals especially practice spaces. Pack waterproof slip-on sandals (like Crocs or EVAs) and one pair of comfortable walking shoes.

3. Laundry Services
Laundry is available nearby, but turnaround times depend on weather and workload.
Pack enough basics and quick-drying undergarments between washes. A small dry-bag is useful for damp post-practice clothes.

4. Health, Hygiene & Medication
Prescriptions: Bring enough regular medication to last the trip.
Basics Kit: A chemist is nearby, but carry basic first-aid: painkillers, antacids, band-aids, and allergy medication.
Mosquito Repellent: Bring a gentle, skin-friendly bug spray for evenings, or buy locally.
Hydration: Bring a reusable steel water bottle. Filtered water is available.

5. Connectivity & Travel (International Guests)
Active Phone Connection: Please ensure you have a working mobile connection for local calls in India before arriving, as Wi-Fi may not be available everywhere. International travelers are advised to purchase a prepaid SIM card upon arrival in India. You will need to provide your passport, valid visa, and a passport-size photograph. It is recommended to carry a few extra copies.
Small Cash: Carry small denominations of Indian Rupees (INR) for local markets and minor purchases. Digital payments are common, but cash is necessary.
Power Adapters: India uses Type C, D, and M plugs (230V). Carry a power bank (Optional) as it ensures your phone stays charged during long flights or distance travel

Mysore is well-equipped. Most minor essentials can be purchased locally if forgotten.
